UCLan Publishing have many years experience in handling high profile author events. We hosted the unique Jacqueline Wilson Festival and are now home to the NYALitFest. Here you’ll find all the information you need on our upcoming events.

On the 24th March 2018 UCLan Publishing is proud to have hosted the first ever Northern YA Literary Festival. We were thrilled to  work so closely with Waterstones Preston and Lancashire Libraries on what was a fantastic event. We’re passionate about the publishing industry, books and bringing authors to the North of England. With a footfall of over 2000 throughout the day we are keen to keep the momentum going, and are committed to hosting high profile events throughout the rest of the year. Watch this space for more info!

One of our guest authors was Alwyn Hamilton, she had this to say: ‘As someone who travels frequently for book events I have noticed that my travels often miss the north of England, skipping straight from the midlands to Edinburgh. And, from speaking to readers at NYALitfest on Saturday, it was evident I am not the only author this applies to. Readers were so enthusiastic about having a festival that was within an hour of their homes, and that they did not have to travel for, and I loved getting to chat to readers I would otherwise never get to meet’.

Cold Bath Street UK Tour

After selling out of the first print run within the first week of publication we had to have A.J Hartley back in the UK asap. What better way to celebrate  the initial success of Cold Bath Street than with a nationwide tour? A.J Hartley  joined us early July and was just about still standing at the end of it when we waved him back off to the US, late July.

Thanks so much to all the lovely stores, booksellers and unique venues that helped us put this very special tour together. The book is going from strength to strength, and we’re looking forward to publishing the hardback special edition is October.

Here are some of the photos from the tour, including a ghost cruise on the Ouse, A.J in conversation with Barry Cunningham, an evening at The Gherkin, and the NYALitFest spin off – The Supernatural & Fantastical.
